You will receive one healthy Kombucha SCOBY (symbiotic culture of bacteria andyeast) approximately 2 1/2 – 3 inches in diameter and about 1/8 – 1/4 inchthick. The SCOBY will be packed in approximately 1/4 cup of starter liquid(extra strong Kombucha tea). You may see “chunks” of yeast and bacteriastarting to grow when it arrives. This will be enough to ferment about twoquarts of sweet tea. A new baby SCOBY grows with each new batch of tea – soyou can conceivably increase your production with each batch. You will alsoreceive instructions on how to set up and maintain your Kombucha brew. PLEASENOTE: The size, texture and color of each SCOBY will vary.
