This nifty device greatly improves theresults you can achieve with the current Impossible instant films. How to Use your Frog Tongue The Frog Tongue is based on the existing sheet of plastic already inside every600 camera. Unlike the existing tongue, which snaps back into the cameraimmediately, the Frog Tongue is physically long enough to cover the imagecompletely and stay in place until the image is removed. Installation isextremely simple using the included instruction sheet, or view the videoabove! Simply remove the nameplate on your camera and replace the old tonguewith this new, longer one. Once permanently installed, it allows stress-free shielding of all Impossiblefilms. You can choose to leave the image under the Frog Tongue for the full3-5 minutes, or transfer it quickly after those critical first 30 seconds to alight-free area like a pocket or bag. Why do I need a Frog Tongue? An excellent question! All Impossible films MUST be shielded from light duringthe first 3-5 minutes of development, and most critically in the first 30seconds. This means no shaking please, but straight into your pocket, box orbag, upside-down on a flat surface, or any other light-free place. This is required because the chemical layer that Polaroid used to shield thefilm cannot be exactly reproduced – the components are simply no longeravailable. Impossible’s team is working day and night to find a new solution, but for now, images must be protected from light.
