Description

The Rope King SBP-58140R solid-braided poly rope is solid braided, measures
5/8″ in diameter by 140′ feet long, and is suitable for halter and lead ropes
in equine and farm applications, as well as home applications. Solid-braided
poly (polypropylene) rope is resistant to abrasion. The solid-braided
construction helps the rope hold its round shape under pressure and load,
making it useful in pulleys and winches. It cannot be unraveled, even when it
is cut. This rope is red in color.Fibrous ropes used for pulling and lifting
are made of natural and/or synthetic fiber strands. A combination of
characteristics, including material, construction, diameter, length, and
breaking strength, give each rope its performance capability. Fibrous rope
materials are selected for properties such as strength, flotation, elasticity,
and resistance to abrasion, ultraviolet light, and chemical compounds. In
solid braided rope, strands alternate between forming the outside of the rope
and the interior of the rope. Solid braided rope tends to hold its round shape
under pressure and load, making it useful in pulleys and winches. This type of
rope is sturdy but not suitable for splicing. The breaking strength for
fibrous rope is the strength at which new rope will fail under a stationary
load. Breaking strength is not considered safe working load (SWL) limit.Rope
