This fully functional historical reproduction is crafted after a sword designwhich was prominent in medieval Europe in the 16th Century and isrepresentative of an Oakeshott Type XXa with its narrow blade and multiplefullers. Two of the fullers run parallel to each other near the hilt while athird sits alone in the middle third of the blade. With an overall length of42 inches, the sword is long but nevertheless light enough to permit quick,shearing strikes with the finely tempered steel 33.5 inch blade. The handlefeatures a lightweight steel guard and pommel along with a leather wrappedhilt that offers a comfortable grip, the sword feels great in the hand.
