Description

The 3rd Century Zanten Gladius has a blade of high carbon steel and a hilt of
wood with a grip of bone. A brass nut caps the pommel and a plate of brass is
fitted into the wooden guard. A removable felt tab on the guard protects the
guard plate and scabbard mouth from dents and scratches. The scabbard is of
wood and brown leather and is embellished with brass and plates of steel and
brass. The iconographic plates are fitted on a single side of the scabbard.
