Star Wars Edition Pez Dispenser Set by PEZ Inc.This limited edition Darth
Vader-themed tin of PEZ dispensers features standard sized, translucent
dispensers of Darth Vader, R2D2, C3PO, and Yoda. It also comes with six packs
of PEZ candies.Originally created in Austria in 1927 by Eduard Haas III, they
were introduced into the United States in 1952. They started out in small
metal tins, similar to that of an Altoids tin. Shortly after, the container
was released as a dispenser that looked similar to a cigarette lighter and was
marketed as a breath mint alternative to smoking. It wasn’t until 1955 that
Pez put heads on the dispensers and began marketing them as intended for
children. Since then, they have released over 1500 different Pez dispensers, a
number of which have become collectors items.
