excrete waste in the tank, the plant atop absorbs this waste as nourishment,
which in turn cleans the tank’s water. For those more interested in growing
plants hydroponically, our tanks can also be used strictly as a planter,

decrease the water level about an inch, giving them enough space to breathe
from the water’s surface. Weekly partial water changes are highly

suitable for planting atop. This includes Peace Lily, Chinese Evergreen, Lucky
Bamboo, English Ivy, Mint, Watercress, Chives, or any leafy Lettuce. We
recommend using established plants instead of starting from seed. If it can be
grown in an indoor hydroponic garden, it can grow atop our tanks! Please
research desired plant’s toxicity and nutritional requirements before using,
since fish may nibble on the roots. Please note that the plant is not a source
