Description

Perfect set of FLATIRON Tan gun hooks for displaying your Rifle, Shotgun or
sword. Each order will get One set (two Hooks). Each hook is painted Tan with
black felt liners. The hook dimensions are: 1/8″ thick x 1/2″ wide x 3-1/2″
tall. The inner hook opening is 1-7/8″. With mounting screws. Minor assembly
required. What is “Cold Rolled Steel” Cold rolled steel is manufactured at
temperatures below its recrystallization temperature, typically at around room
temperature. The cold rolled steel end product has a much smoother appearance
and may have squared off corners that are more accurate in dimension and
finish. The yield strength and tensile strength of cold rolled will be higher
than hot rolled steel, which makes cold rolled less likely to fracture under
pressure. Cold rolled steel is much more preferred in the machining world
where the quality of the steel is an important factor of the quality of the
final product, and the appearance of the steel is also an important factor.
The following are some of the key differences in hot rolled vs cold rolled
steel: Hot rolled steel is rolled or shaped at a high temperature while cold
rolled steel is rolled at room temperature. Cold rolled has a smooth and shiny
finish while hot rolled has a grey and scaly finish. Cold rolled has sharper
corners and more precise dimensions than hot rolled. In general, cold rolled
has better mechanical properties than hot rolled.
