Clovers Garden Big Rainbow Tomato Plant – Two (2) Live Plants – Not Seeds –Each 5" to 7" Tall- in 3.5 Inch Pots
Description
The Big Rainbow Heirloom tomato plant is as much a joy to grow as it is to
eat. The huge colorful yellow-orange ribbed tomatoes grow on six foot plus
plants. Cut open the giant tomato to reveal a golden flesh with red streaks
plus a variety of colors in-between, some even claim it is the most beautiful
tomato you can grow. The taste is juicy, fruity and sweet, an old fashioned
tomato taste. Enjoy this tomato fresh sliced from the garden in salads and
sandwiches, or add it to your favorite pasta dishes for a juicy sweet flavor
boost. Plant after the danger of frost is past, spacing at least two (2) feet
apart to allow the large plants reach their full growth. Stake plants well as
the tomatoes can grow up to two (2) pounds each. A sunny location with normal
soil and adequate drainage is required. When planting these and all other
tomatoes, plant to a soil depth just beneath the first set of leaves. That
first set of leaves (called cotyledon-which means the embryonic first leaves)
will eventually fall off. Roots will form along the buried stem, establishing
a stronger root, thus a stronger plant. Expect a bountiful harvest within 80
days (from seeding). This vine is easy to grow making it an excellent choice
for humid or rainy climates, or crowded veggie patches where air circulation
may be poor. It will continue producing the large beautiful fruits until the
first frost hits
