Consists of fossilized remains of diatoms, a type of hard-shelled algae.

DUST Diatomaceous Earth is a mechanical insect killer. Insects cannot become
immune to its action. Insects come into contact with this powder and die of
dehydration within 48 hours. Insect Dust (diatomaceous earth) controls these
insects: Ants, fleas, ticks, cockroaches, earwigs, slugs, beetles, spiders and
silverfish. This product may be used indoors or outdoors, around foundation of
home, basement window easements, along floor next to walls, and in corners and
crevices inside home.
