Pewter Odin's Ravens Huginn and Muninn Norse Rune Pendant
Description
The Norse god Odin, also called All-Father as he’s the father of all gods, is
a predominate figure in Viking mythology. He has been referred to by over 36
different names, one being “Hrafnass”, or “Raven-God”. Norse Myth tells us
that Odin has a pair of ravens, known as Huginn (thought) and Muninn (memory),
who serve as his spies and messengers. Odin sits on Hlidskjalf, his high seat
above the clouds, and sends the ravens out to fly through the Nine Worlds.
Upon their return, they relate to Odin the secrets they’ve found. The raven is
a common spirit guide, associated with introspection, courage, self-knowledge,
shape-shifting and mystical wisdom. The runes surrounding the ravens are the
“Elder Futhark”, listed in order.
